Meet the Owner

Jenny Beattie is a Florida native, originally from Longwood, FL. She attended Florida State University where she studied Event Management and earned her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) shortly after. Jenny moved to South Florida in 2012, where she began her journey of working in luxury resorts, including The Ritz Carlton Palm Beach, Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, and PGA National Resort & Spa. Jenny also spent several years working in the philanthropy department at Scripps Research in Jupiter, FL, planning fundraising and donor events for the non-profit institute.

Jenny’s love for hosting parties and entertaining family and friends sparked the dream behind Simply the Zest. She combines skills from her professional career with her passion for party planning. “I love hosting special occasions, but I also know how much time and energy goes into making each event a success. I often find myself paying more attention to the details of the party rather than enjoying the company of my guests. Celebrating life’s milestones or continuing an annual tradition like Friendsgiving (my favorite occasion to host) are important to me, and I want to provide a service that allows others to ENJOY the event they are hosting”.

Jenny and her husband, Brian, enjoy traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. Recent trips include Greece, France, and three months in Napa/Sonoma, CA. “Spending three months in California allowed me to cook with local produce and experience new fresh flavors, I loved it! I also took multiple classes at The Culinary Institute of America in Napa.” Spending three months in wine country also gave Jenny a new insight into food & wine pairings.

Outside of work and travel, Jenny enjoys running, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and long walks with her dog, Napa.
